Police investigating death in Inuvik

Police have launched an investigation following the "sudden death" of a woman in Inuvik.

A 38 year-old woman was found dead in a residence in the community after Inuvik received a report around 9 a.m. Wednesday, a news release stated Wednesday evening.

NWT Major Crimes Unit,  Forensic Identification Services and NWT Coroner Service are working together to probe the woman's death.

RMCP aren't releasing additional information at this time.
