Police rescue two men from Buffalo Lake after boat capsizes

said two men had to be rescued after their boat capsized in Buffalo Lake, about 60 kilometres east of Hay River near the Alberta border.

Police received a distress signal from a SPOT device at about 3 p.m. Sept. 28. The men were found about a kilometre offshore.

SA国际影视传媒淲ith the assistance of Great Slave Helicopters and the Canadian Coast Guard Auxillary, members responded and were able to locate both men and bring them to Hay River Regional Health Centre for treatment of non-life threatening hypothermia,SA国际影视传媒 Julie Plourde wrote in a news release. Finally, make sure your boat is in working condition. Be sure to familiarize yourself with your vessel and practice your emergency drills.
