Man shot in downtown Yellowknife

A shooting at a downtown Yellowknife apartment building left a man with non-life-threatening injuries, say police.

Residents heard gunshots ring out from a 53 Street Apartment building around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, prompting police to rush to the scene where they found an injured man in his 40s, states a news release from Yellowknife .

The man was transported to hospital.

No arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning and continue to investigate.
