In just her second season of university swimming, Alexanne Lepage can now call herself a four-time national gold medalist.

The Vernon local finished the U Sports Swimming Championships, hosted in Toronto, with four gold medals, to help her Calgary Dinos team to a third place showing.

After winning the 100 metre breaststroke and 400 m individual medley on day one (Thursday), Lepage took gold in the 200 m breaststroke on Friday with a time of 2:25.35.

On Saturday, Lepage, a Vernon Kokanee Swim Club alumni, won the 50 m breaststroke with a 30.49 second time. She also added a silver medal in the 400 m medley relay with her teammates: Hannah Johnsen, Madisen Jacques and Eliza Housman.

"What an ending to a great swim meet," said Dinos head coach Mike Blondal. "There were some stunning swims from many of our swimmers, and overall, it was a good meet."

Last season, Lepage was named the U Sports rookie of the year, Canada West women's swimmer of the year and rookie of the year. She also claimed four silver medals at nationals.

Three other Kokanee grads competed at the championships in 2025: Kelsey Fillion for the University of Manitoba, Ryan Murphy of the Victoria Vikes men's team and Angel Loseth with the Dinos.
