The Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce held its 2018 Business Award Gala at the Chateau Nova last night.
This year's awards received a record 143 nominations recognizing local businesses in ten categories.
Downtown boutique Ice Blink won the Trailblazers Women in Business Award while Bouwa Whee Catering took home the Aboriginal Entrepreneurship Award.
Twin Pine Diner won the Customer Service Award of Excellence,and the Community Impact Award went to Northwestel, with Cabin Radio winning for Breakout New Business.
Waste management company Kavanaugh Bros. Ltd. won for Small Business of the Year and business law firm Lawson Lundell LLP won for Corporate Business of the Year.
NWT Brewing Co. won the award for Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Canuck Concrete Pumping & Crane won the Workplace Health & Safety Award.
Local real estate investment company Cloudworks won for Chamber Member of the Year, which is awarded to a particularly active member of the chamber.
