Deline say they have charged a 43-year-old Yellowknife resident with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with release conditions imposed by the justice system.
" officers received a tip that a person with several warrants for his arrest was about to arrive in the community on a flight. Officers attended the airport and arrested the man without incident," according to the Mounties' Aug. 28 news release. "During the arrest, approximately 17 grams of suspected cocaine was located, along with other paraphernalia indicative of drug trafficking."
Billy John McNeely was jailed and then appeared before a justice of the peace. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Aug. 28, according to police. Investigation into this matter is ongoing.
