While there's been demolition occurring next to Boston Pizza, there are currently no proposals to develop those 48 Street lots, according to the city.

"The buildings on each lot have been torn down. Since the demolition, no development proposals have been submitted to the City of Yellowknife," stated Abby Schelew, the communications advisor for the municipality. "The city will review future development proposals and proceed according to all applicable bylaws and policies."

Claddagh Investments Corporation owns two of those lots, numbered 5108 and 5110, and has a majority stake in the third, numbered 5106. Claddagh is in the financial advisor business, according to the company's website.

Each of the properties sold for $275,000, according to GNWT documents.

ZZA Hospitality group, a partnership that owns and operates a number of Boston Pizza restaurants in Canada, has minority ownership in lot 5110, specifically the easement.

In an email to Yellokwnifer, Dan Arndt, the president of ZZA Hospitality group, said that's related to a shed they have on the property. He added that it's a registered encroachment as part of the 2019 purchase of the land and building.

Yellowknifer reached out to Claddagh Investments Corporation but nobody from the company responded in time for publication.
