Fire crews called to Yellowknife's Kam Lake area

Fire crews and emergency personnel responded to the call of a fire Friday afternoon at 190 Hall Crescent in Yellowknife.

Part of the street, located at the new Block 501 development off Kam Lake Road and next to the jail, was blocked at two locations by officers with the City of Yellowknife Municipal Enforcement Division.

Some neighbours were out on the street watching, but there was little indication of excessive fire or smoke in the neighbourhood.

Yellowknifer was unable to ascertain the cause of the blaze by the end of the day Friday but it was reported all clear at 5:05 p.m.
