The used furniture shop is coming to the downtown core after the organization received its largest donation ever from Bird Construction and Clark Builders.

SA国际影视传媒淲e take donations from any part of the community, but the reason weSA国际影视传媒檙e at the downtown location now is because of a large donation from a corporate donor,SA国际影视传媒 said ReStore manager Tamlin Gilbert.

The construction companies donated several seacans worth of furniture originally purchased for temporary workers contracted to build the new Stanton Territorial Hospital.

SA国际影视传媒淗ousehold goods, furniture, small appliances, some decorative stuff, paintings and photos, that sort of thing,SA国际影视传媒 said Gilbert.

This will be the first time ReStore has been downtown. Hosting it in the mall will allow more of a retail experience for shoppers, said Gilbert.

SA国际影视传媒淭he site we had next the dump was good but it wasnSA国际影视传媒檛 really suitable for storing more fragile items like furnishings,SA国际影视传媒 he said.

Everything in the ReStore will be sold for at least 50 per cent off of the retail price but depending on condition, the cost could be lower than that.

Funds raised from furniture sales will go directly to Habitat for Humanity NWT and support its mission to create affordable housing in the territory, said Gilbert.

SA国际影视传媒淲eSA国际影视传媒檙e hoping to keep (ReStore) open for three months, and people are able to donate directly to the store downtown if they have home furnishings and furniture they want to donate,SA国际影视传媒 he said.

The organization relies on from the community and is seeking volunteers, Gilbert said.

SA国际影视传媒淭heySA国际影视传媒檙e welcome to come by on Saturday and see what we have for sale and if theySA国际影视传媒檙e interested in volunteering, weSA国际影视传媒檇 love to hear from them,SA国际影视传媒 he said.

ReStore will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for its Saturday grand opening.
