NWT has teamed up with the Canadian Centre for Child Protection to bring Yellowknife residents information sessions about online safety and protecting children from sexual abuse.
Members of the NWT 's Internet Child Exploitation Unit, along with representatives from the Canadian Centre for Children Protection, will stop by the capital on April 11, stated police in a news release issued Wednesday.
The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is a charitable group committed to the "personal safety of all children," states the release.
The organization aims to "reduce victimization by providing national programs and services to the Canadian public."
The Yellowknife session will take place at École St. Joseph School, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Education workshops are also being held at the Community Government Building in Behchoko on April 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
