Licences for new drivers stalled due to Covid-19

New drivers looking to hit the road during Covid-19 will have to wait before getting behind the wheel. 

Public health restrictions brought on by the pandemic have stalled driver exams and tests SA国际影视传媒 neither are currently available in the NWT, according to Department of Infrastructure spokesperson Greg Hanna. 

SA国际影视传媒淲hile new licences cannot be processed online, we understand the importance of offering this service and we are working toward being able to offer in-person services safely and in compliance with the (Chief Public Health Officer of Canada) order,SA国际影视传媒 stated Hanna in an email. 

Other services: vehicle registration renewals, registrations cancellations, registration reprints, driver abstracts and renewals and replacements of driverSA国际影视传媒檚 licences/general identification cards, are still being offered online at

ThereSA国际影视传媒檚 no set date for when testing and exams will be up and running again. 

SA国际影视传媒淲e donSA国际影视传媒檛 have a set date for re-opening at this time, but we are working actively to create a safe environment that will allow us to re-open in the near future,SA国际影视传媒 stated Hanna.
