A Yellowknife man wanted by police for failing to show up to court for a sex assault jury trial has been located and arrested, say .
An arrest warrant was issued for 35-year-old Alden Joseph Lennie on Jan. 23 after he failed to appear in NWT Supreme court for the second day in a row, forcing Justice Andrew Mahar to declare a mistrial.
A dozen jurors were sent home.
Lennie was arrested without incident on Feb. 8 following an SA国际影视传媒渁ctive search,SA国际影视传媒 stated spokesperson Marie York-Condon in an email to Yellowknifer.
Lennie has been charged with a failure to attend court, SA国际影视传媒渁s directed by the court,SA国际影视传媒 wrote York-Condon.
Lennie, who appeared for day-one of the trial before failing to attend, stands accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Yellowknife in 2015.
The trial was expected to last a week and four witnesses were due to be called to the stand.
Lennie was been remanded into custody at North Slave Correctional Complex (NSCC). HeSA国际影视传媒檚 scheduled for a court appearance in NWT Supreme Court on Friday.
