No charges against in 2017 collision that injured Yellowknife man

Charges wonSA国际影视传媒檛 be laid against officers involved in a 2017 collision that seriously injured a Yellowknife man.

In July 2017, the man SA国际影视传媒 who later identified himself to Yellowknifer as James Picard SA国际影视传媒 suffered serious injuries after colliding with a police vehicle on 48 Street.

After SA国际影视传媒渃areful consideration,SA国际影视传媒 the Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) has recommended that SA国际影视传媒渘o further action toward the police is merited,SA国际影视传媒 stated an news release issued Aug. 16.

ItSA国际影视传媒檚 the third time the incident has been investigated or reviewed.

Due to police involvement in the manSA国际影视传媒檚 injuries, an external review was launched by Medicine Hat Police Services SA国际影视传媒 an investigation that followed a probe led by the NWT Major Crimes Unit.

While members involved in the collision wonSA国际影视传媒檛 be prosecuted, a civil suit, according to FridaySA国际影视传媒檚 release, has been filed in relation to the incident.
