NTPC gets new president and CEO for April. 1

In a news release Thursday, the Northwest Territories Power Corporation announced that MLA Robert McLeod, has appointed Noel Voykin as president and CEO of NTPC.

"I look forward to working with Mr. Voykin as the Corporation continues to provide the power that fuels the growth of our territory and its economy, and supports sustainable communities," McLeod said in a release.

Voykin will start with the NTPC on April 1, 2019.

"Mr. Voykin brings considerable experience from both the domestic and international mining and electrical utilities industries, including experience in the both the public and private sectors," the release stated.

According to the release Voykin was most recently serving as an engineering executive for the Saskatchewan based Cameco Corporation, a uranium mining and production company. He's had previous utility experience with Canadian Armed Forces, SaskPower, and TransAlta Utilities.

He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Saskatchewan.
