A First Air flight landed safely in Yellowknife on Aug. 28 after a pair of suspected flat tires on the aircraft prompted pilots to declare an emergency.
The passenger plane, en route to the capital from Kugluktuk, was flying with 25 people onboard when the emergency was declared, as a precaution, shortly after 4 p.m., the airline confirmed to Yellowknifer.
The declaration triggered a response from emergency crews, which were on standby at the Yellowknife Airport.
After conducting a SA国际影视传媒渇lybySA国际影视传媒 at the airportSA国际影视传媒檚 observation tower, no mechanical issues were seen and a SA国际影视传媒減erfect and uneventfulSA国际影视传媒 landing followed, said First Air spokesperson Dan Valin Thursday.
The false alarm resulted in the flight being delayed by about 15 minutes, he added.
