Walk-in service added at Yellowknife Primary Care Clinic

Brendan Burke/NNSL photo. A woman is speaking out after she says she was bullied by staff at Yellowknife Primary Care Centre to delete a recording between her elderly father and a technician.

Starting July 2, walk-in service will be provided at Yellowknife Primary Care Clinic, the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority announced Wednesday afternoon.

Clients can continue to make same-day appointments by phone on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Yellowknife Primary Care Clinic and Frame Lake Community Health Clinic will also still offer regularly booked appointments.

As part of the news service, the Yellowknife Primary Care Clinic will now be open from 8:05 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays. Walk-in services will be offered in the morning and after 4:30 p.m.

Same day appointments can be booked from 8:05 a.m. to 4 p.m..

Saturday is walk-in service only, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
