Flood damage remediation work at the Yellowknife Primary Care Centre (YPCC) is now complete, according to the Department of Health and Social Services.

"Effective Monday, Aug. 19, 2024, residents will have the option to book an appointment for laboratory services at the Stanton Territorial Hospital (STH) laboratory," a news release reads.

The remediation comes with changes in service, however.

"STH will no longer be accepting walk-in appointments," according to the news release, noting that people will now need to call ahead and book a date and time. "Patients visiting STH for specialist appointments that may require bloodwork as part of their visit will still be accommodated."

The Yellowknife Primary Care Centre lab will have a walk-in same-day option and wait-list option. The same day option is first come first served, the news release states.
