Yellowknife is turning to the public for help after they say a man attempted to rob a city store at knife-point on Tuesday night.
Mounties were called to KimSA国际影视传媒檚 Confectionery, located at the corner of Franklin Avenue and 54 Street around 7:30 p.m. on March 5, after a report of an armed robbery attempt, states a news release issued by Wednesday afternoon.
A lone man, police say, entered the store and demanded cash after brandishing a knife. The alleged robbery attempt, according to the release, proved unfruitful and the man fled the area.
The suspect is described by as being of Inuit descent, approximately 5SA国际影视传媒11 tall, with a thin build.
Police say the man was wearing a black t-shirt overtop a blue hooded sweatshirt during the alleged robbery attempt.
is asking anyone who may have been in the area between 7 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. to contact police.
