Vehicle fire on Borden Drive

The Yellowknife Fire Division (YKFD) attended to a vehicle fire on Borden Drive in Yellowknife on Tuesday afternoon.

There were no injuries reported in the incident, said City of Yellowknife spokesperson Alison Harrower.

The fire was extinguished with a fire extinguisher before YKFD arrived on the scene.

The vehicle sustained damage to its interior and rear window.

An investigation found that no one had been inside the vehicle and there was no criminal element involved, said spokesperson Marie York Condon.

Municipal enforcement officers were directing traffic around the scene for about one hour as fire officials inspected the vehicle.
