The Yellowknife Direct Co-op is acquiring Super A Foods in Hay River.

A press release the Co-op issued on April 4 states that its board of directors has approved buying Hay River's Super A Foods.

"As we move through the final steps of the transition, we anticipate ownership will officially transfer on May 15, 2025," the news release states. "We look forward to strengthening both our Co-op and communities within the Northwest Territories."

The Co-op is a user-owned company with about 8,000 members.
