The Baker Community Centre at Aven Manor has been listed as a Covid-19 exposure location.

Activities at the centre are run by the Yellowknife Seniors Society.

The exposure notice applies to anyone who attended the building between 9 a.m. and noon Sept. 27, 28 or 29.

Chief public health officer Dr. Kami Kandola declared an outbreak at the Aven Manor long-term care facility Sept. 30 following the confirmation of one case.

The NTHSSA has implemented protective measures in long-term care facilities for the duration of COVID-19 pandemic, including continuous masking of all staff and visitors, vaccination, staff and visitor screening questionnaires and limitations to numbers of visitors.

The facility is closed to visitors.
