One woman is dead after a fire broke out in Behchoko over the weekend, say .
The female victim, who has not yet been identified, was found inside a shed early Saturday morning after the Behchoko Fire Department responded to a blaze on a residential property around 1:20 a.m.
When officers arrived on scene to assist firefighters, the structure was "fully engulfed in flames," stated a news release from Mounties.
" are seeking the public's assistance in reporting any female person who may not be accounted for within their friends, relatives and associates," stated the news release.
News/North is awaiting a response from both the NWT Coroner Service and Northwest Territories Office of the Fire Marshal - two agencies working with to investigate the fatal fire.
