Fort Liard man not killed by bear attack, says NWT coroner

The NWT Coroner Service is continuing to investigate the death of 52-year-old Floyd DiamondSA国际影视传媒機, found deceased earlier this month near Fort Liard.

DiamondSA国际影视传媒機SA国际影视传媒檚 body was located in Bear Creek on May 8 by a family member on their way to visit him at a cabin.

He had last been seen in Fort Liard on April 24.

Despite SA国际影视传媒渆xtensive post-mortem animal scavengingSA国际影视传媒 of the body, NWT Coroner Service has determined a bear attack was not the cause of DiamondSA国际影视传媒機SA国际影视传媒檚 death, according to a press release issued by the office on May 29.

The territorySA国际影视传媒檚 coroner service is awaiting the final autopsy results.

The NWT Coroner Service is continuing to probe the death alongside and Environmental and Natural Resources.
