Tim Mercer, clerk of the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly is on leave as of Feb. 16, SA国际影视传媒 has learned.
Katie Weaver, manager of public affairs and communications at the NWT Legislative Assembly, confirmed as much in a Tuesday email.
Two GNWT managers SA国际影视传媒� chief electoral officer Nicole Latour and legislative assembly staffer April Taylor SA国际影视传媒� said last week Mercer contributes to a toxic workplace at the legislative assembly. Allegations have stemmed from various forms of harassment to bullying to berating and embarrassing staff.
Mercer, who learned of the accusations last Thursday, has denied the allegations "categorically."
On Monday, Steve Norn, MLA for Tu Nedh茅 - Wiilideh held a news conference calling for the Legislative AssemblySA国际影视传媒檚 Board of Management to launch a third party investigation into MercerSA国际影视传媒檚 conduct.
Weaver said the Board did not meet Tuesday.
