Public ceremony for highway opening

Stewart Burnett - Local Journalism Initiative

A ceremony will be taking place for the Inuvik-Tuktoyaktuk highway opening Nov. 15.

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the end of Muskrat Road, where the highway begins.

From there, a reception will be held at 11:20 a.m. at the Midnight Sun Complex, before the inaugural drive of the highway to Tuktoyaktuk.

Another ceremony will take place in Tuk at 4 p.m.
