Series aims spotlight on Leona Brule, missing since 1989

It's been nearly 30 years since 19-year-old Leona May Brule, of Fort Providence, was reported missing by her mother.

Her disappearance - and the missing person file that remains open to this day - will be featured on APTN's Taken Series, stated NWT in a news release on Friday.

Territory residents can tune into the segment on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 5:30 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 26 at 12:30 p.m.

Brule's case was featured on the 's national Facebook and Twitter accounts on Friday, Oct. 19, according to the Mounties' release.
