Residents of Avens SA国际影视传媒� A Community for Seniors are being airlifted to Edmonton as part of the wildfire evacuation of Yellowknife.

Residents of Yellowknife who are unable to leave the city due to the wildfire by their own means are being asked to register for free evacuation flights out of the city.

After the Town of Hay River and KSA国际影视传媒檃tlSA国际影视传媒檕deeche First Nation (KFN) were evacuated, many residents headed to the Multiplex, which was designated at the evacuation centre. Many evacuees appeared to be devastated. No crying could be heard but people were frequently seen hugging and comforting one another.

Dene Nation chiefs gathered in Yellowknife last week to discuss a variety of issues and opportunities concerning Denendeh and its people, including a September incident that led to a search of a Lutsel KSA国际影视传媒檈 governed camp .

Investigations by the fire marshal into explosions in Yellowknife and Hay River have confirmed that propane was a factor in both incidents.

A former Hay River citizen and current business owner in the community is looking to raise a bit of awareness with his trips to the North.
