A Fort Smith man previously charged with luring and possession of child pornography is facing new charges for similar crimes.
have now charged Marcus Bourke, 24, with a total of 15 alleged crimes SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½“ 12 counts of luring a child, two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of accessing child pornography.
An news release advised that the NT Internet Child Exploration Unit SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½“ a unit specializing in investigations related to child pornography, luring, non-consensual distribution of intimate images, and voyeurism SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½“ began a probe in May 2019 with assistance from Saskatchewan and Fort Smith .
A search warrant for electronic devices was executed in September 2019 and Bourke was arrested and charged immediately.
Bourke has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Territorial Court in Yellowknife on Nov. 24.
None of the charges against him have been proven in court.
