From clothing designs to musical offerings, the work of Northern Indigenous artists took centre stage at the Indigenous Cultural Gala in Dettah Saturday night.
Hosted by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation (YKDFN), the second-annual event, part of the NAKA Festival, featured performances by Miranda Currie, Stephen Kakfwi, DJ Kookum and Tanya Snow, while models showcased the creations of a dozen Indigenous designers on the runway.
