Tuesday's sewage leak on Kam Lake Road has been stopped and repaired, according to a City news release.
Both Kam Lake Road and Coronation Drive are open to the public.
Clean up of the contaminated area has begun, including the removal of snow and ice. Remaining water in ditches will be removed with vac trucks.
Warning signage has been posted in the area and the Department of Public Works will be contacting residents who may be affected.
A spill report was reported to the GNWT.
The public is asked to be mindful of work crews when passing through the area.
Currently the volume of the spill is being assessed and there is no definite timeline for the clean up, according to Stephanie Vandeputte, communications & economic development officer with the city.
Last year's sewage leak at Kam Lake took several months to clean.
