A Yellowknife man faces child porn charges after a raid in June.
Russ Jones, 53, was charged with possession and transmission of child pornography after an investigation by the NT Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE), states a Monday news release.
The ICE unit opened an investigation in March of last year which lead to a search warrant being executed in June. Multiple electronic devices were seized and analyzed with support from Saskatchewan Digital Forensics unit.
Jones is charged with the possession and transmission of child pornography. He has been released under conditions and his next court appearance in Yellowknife is on Nov. 24.
The charges against him have not been proven in court.
