Inuvik investigate sudden death

Inuvik are investigating the death of a man found near Big Lake near Inuvik over the weekend.

They have not yet identified the deceased man.

"The is aware that there is some speculation as to the identity of the person, however, as they have not been identified, there is no further information at this time," the release states.

Mounties responded to the report of a sudden death on Nov. 3.

The man was found on a trail in the area. His death is now under investigation by the Major Crime Unit.

Its forensic identification service traveled to Inuvik to assist with the investigation, stated in a news release issued today.
