Two people face multiple gun and drug charges after Fort Providence seized cocaine, cash and a loaded AR-15 rifle in a pair of searches carried out in the community.
Mounties conducted two simultaneous search warrants on Oct. 20, raiding a Fort Providence residence and searching a vehicle around 1:30 a.m. In the home, according to a news release issued last week, officers found cocaine, cash and various SA国际影视传媒渄rug trafficking paraphernalia.SA国际影视传媒
The search of the vehicle, executed during a traffic stop in the community, netted a loaded AR-15 carbine rifle, cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia, stated the news release.
Police say the searches resulted in the arrests of two adults males and one youth SA国际影视传媒 a 15-year-old male who can't be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act SA国际影视传媒 but only two individuals have been charged.
Thirty-year-old Cassiuis Paradis, and the youth SA国际影视传媒 both from Edmonton, Alta. SA国际影视传媒 both face seven drug and firearm-related charges, including possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition.
The pair also face a charge each for allegedly breaching probation conditions.

Paradis made a brief court appearance in Yellowknife last week. On Oct. 24, he listened as Justice of the Peace Adelle Guigon read aloud the long list of charges he faces.
Paradis has retained a private lawyer in Edmonton.
Guigon ordered a no-contact order for Paradis, meaning he's barred from communication with the co-accused.
Paradis is due to be in court today for a show cause hearing.
