Last weekend, 15 students graduated from the Northern Indigenous Counselling (NIC) program. Now theySA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™re ready to start helping northern people to deal with past traumas and with everyday living. Woohoo.

Like a lot of people, in the spring, I eagerly await the snows demise and the arrival of the re-emerging ground. Some years, I feel the urge to run out and kiss the ground when it first appears. Also, it is interesting seeing what hidden natural treasures may emerge.

There has certainly been a lot happening lately especially with visitors to our fair town. Spring floods in Hay River sent evacuees scurrying here. Then, a Royal tour and the United States Government talking about UFOs visiting the planet. Or, as they are calling them now, Unidentified Flying Phenomena SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½” UFPs for short. Since an object could be a phenomenon, not sure what the name change signifies because, either way, it is unidentified and flying.
