Five four-person fire crews and one three-person fire crews were called from six NWT communities to assist in battling one of 73 wildfires currently consuming forests North of Sudbury, Ont.

As raging wildfires close Highways 35 and 58 around High Level, Alb., Yellowknife's food and delivery services are keeping a close watch.

If the fire doesn't spread north of High Level, and cut off its northbound highway, delivery should be able to continue unabated, according to Northern FoodServices Owner Roger Walker. He said the company will keep an eye on the situation, but its trucks typically come through Highway 88 and Red Earth on their way to Yellowknife.
