Still no sign of missing Yk woman as police seek dash cam, security footage

Police in Yellowknife are renewing their plea for the publicSA国际影视传媒檚 help in locating missing 60-year-old Sladjana Petrovic.

Petrovic was last seen leaving her 53 Street apartment towards Franklin Avenue on Boxing Day - Thursday, Dec. 26 - at around 3:40 p.m., according to a news release issued Monday by Mounties, the latest of three since Dec. 30.

Sladjana, who police described as SA国际影视传媒淐aucasian, 5SA国际影视传媒7SA国际影视传媒 / 170 cm, 257 lbs / 117 kg, heavy build, shoulder length SA国际影视传媒渟alt and pepperSA国际影视传媒 brown hair and blue eyes,SA国际影视传媒 was captured on CCTV video on Dec. 25, the day before she was last seen downtown.

The newly-released security camera image shows Petrovic wearing a dark blue jacket, with light blue liner, a pink or red shirt, along with running shoes. She is seen carrying a grey/black bag or purse.

Despite a SA国际影视传媒渄edicated, multi-level police investigation,SA国际影视传媒 that continues to see Yellowknife Ground Search and Rescue (YKGSAR) actively patrolling the downtown area, including back alleyways and residential yards, police say there have been no confirmed sightings of Petrovic.

Police, who continue to canvass the downtown area in an SA国际影视传媒渁round the clockSA国际影视传媒 investigation, are now asking residents with SA国际影视传媒渘estSA国际影视传媒 cams or vehicle dash cams to review their recorded footage between the hours of 3 p.m. and 12 a.m. on Dec. 26, and to report any sightings.

Petrovic, according to MondaySA国际影视传媒檚 news release, has been known to visit Calgary and Edmonton in the past. News releases related to her disappearance have been shared in those jurisdictions accordingly, and Yellowknife are working with partner agencies south of the NWT border, say police.

Police say the investigation remains a priority, with NWT Police Dog Services and resources from other units supporting the probe.

Yellowknife Ground Search and Rescue (YKGSAR) were deployed to the Tin Can Hill
area Tuesday after police received a tip about a piece of clothing found Dec. 27. It was gone by the time police got there, so "given the investigators could not determine if the item did or did not belong to Ms. Petrovic, an extensive search of the area was completed," according to an news release.

"A helicopter was deployed to assist in the search of that area, as well as an expanded
search area by air. Members of Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) were on
board as well as an officer.

"With information brought forward by the public, we were able to direct resources to a
specific area today. While that search did not yield further evidence or information on Ms.
Petrovic's whereabouts, it shows the importance of relaying any information the public may have on Ms. Petrovic to the ," states Insp. Alex Laporte, Yellowknife Detachment Commander.
